The Metropolitan - Jacksonville Beach, Florida

Architect: KBJ Architects

Contractor: Elkins Constructors

Project Description: A two phase retail shopping center each contracted for separately. Phase I consisted of 13,000 square feet of retail facilities and Phase II, 4,500 square feet.

Scope of Work: Provided final design services including Layout, Grading and Drainage, and Utility Plans as well as final detail sheets reflecting necessary details for paving, drainage, water distribution and gravity wastewater collection. Additionally coordinated local and state permitting and performed post-construction certification for water, sewer, and stormwater facilities.

Project Status: Construction complete 2005

Aetna Building Parking Modifications - Jacksonville, Florida

Client: South Shore Group

Project Description: 100 space parking lot situated on 1.32 acres for the existing Aetna building and associated utilities relocation, stormwater management and driveway connections.

Scope of Work: Civil engineering services to include design and permitting for demolition of existing parking and construction of reconfigured parking lot

Project Description: Jaxoffices Professional Business Park is a Class “A” Professional Office Park located in the heart of Mandarin and just north of Julington Creek and St. Johns County. A summary of the six phases of this development is detailed below including square footage and acreage.

Scope of Work: Civil engineering services include site engineering, paving, grading, water and sewer design.

Destin Commons - Destin, Florida

Client: Turnberry Associates

Project Description: Connelly & Wicker was contracted by developer Turnberry Associates to produce construction drawings for this 50-acre town center located at the corner of Mid Bay Bridge and US Highway 98. The center consists of 590,000sf of retail and 70,000sf of office space and a 14-screen theater. The $100 million Destin Commons features over 75 well-known local, national and international names in retail and dining. Other special attractions include a nautically- themed children’s play area.

Scope of Work: Scope of services included master planning, final design (including stormwater, waste and potable water, grading, drainage, utility) and parking facilities. Additional design included FDOT drive connection and drainage connection plans, FDEP and FDOT permitting for 50-acre town center.

Project Status: Phase 1 Completed in 2003

Sandestin Resorts - Destin, Florida

Client: Intrawest resort Development Group

Project Description: Sandestin Beach Resort is a mixed use Development of Regional Impact that includes single-family residential subdivisions, multi-family residential areas, commercial uses, golf courses and other recreational uses.Connelly & Wicker was contracted to provide design services in 1985 and to this day has a continued relationship with Intrawest Resorts Development Group.

Scope of Work: Preparation of stormwater, potable water, and wastewater master plans. Stormwater master planning for the Baytowne, Burnt Pine, and Raven Golf Courses were designed to provide stormwater management facilities for not only the golf courses but also the surrounding residential communities at Sandestin.

Preparation of plans and specifications for roadways, parking lots, subdivisions, potable water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems (both gravity and lift stations), and stormwater management facilities.

Preparation of bid documents and coordination of federal, state, and local permitting.

Examples of some of the several projects at Sandestin include the Baytowne and Raven Golf Courses, The Market at Sandestin, St. Andrews Subdivision, Baytowne Avenue Subdivision, the Fountains Subdivision, Tivoli Terrace Multi-family Development, and South Winds Condominiums.

East Park Industrial Park - Duval County, Florida

Project Description: East Park Industrial Park has been developing for nearly 20 years. Since 1983, Connelly & Wicker has provided engineering services inclusive of stormwater, utility and roadway designs and permitting. As parcels have developed, we additionally have contracted with purchasers for engineering of individual sites including: North Florida Sales Distribution Center, Tech Packaging and Regent Boulevard to serve Pilot Pen Corporation.

Scope of Work:
North Florida Sales: A 132,000 sf facility for Anheuser-Busch products designed on a 20.3-acre site and included 15,000 sf of office, a 92,000 sf maintenance garage, 240 auto and 80 distribution truck parking as well as 8 loading docks. Scope expanded to include design for an additional 24,000 sf future expansion including four more loading docks.

Tech Packaging Inc.: A 62,000 sf industrial facility situated on a 4.5-acre site. Design of construction plans and specifications for facility, two parking lots, multiple loading docks and stormwater management system; plans and calculations for permitting, development of a landscape plan; and provided construction observation services.

Pilot Pen Corporation (Regent Blvd.): Civil engineering design services for Regent Boulevard in a Private/Public Partnership. Funding for the 2,400 linear foot roadway was made available by the City in order to recruit Pilot Pen Corporation.

Comfort Suites at World Golf Village - St. Johns County, Florida

Located within World Golf Village, a mixed-use development on Interstate 95 in North Florida, this six-story hotel has more than 98,000 square feet and is situated on a 5.42-acre site. Connelly & Wicker provided final engineering design services inclusive of Layout, Grading and Drainage, and Utility Plans as well as construction details for paving, drainage, water distribution and gravity wastewater collection. Our firm additionally coordinated local and state permitting.

HarborWalk - Destin, Florida

Client: Legendary, Inc.

Project Description: Mixed use commercial and residential project consisting of 100,000 sf of commercial and retail space as well as 80 and 60 units of residential condominiums, located on the harbor in the City of Destin.

Scope of Work: Designed and prepared construction plans and specifications for parking, water, sewer and stormwater management facilities; prepared plans for docking facility modification; coordinated local, state and federal permitting; and provided construction observation services and post-construction certification. Additionally, responsible for the coordination with surveyor, land planner and landscape architect.

Ocwen Parking Garage - Jacksonville, Florida

841 Prudential Drive is a parking garage facility providing parking for the renovated Prudential Insurance Building located on Jacksonville's southbank riverfront and next to Baptist Hospital. The garage is a 1,100-space facility on two acres on Prudential Drive. Connelly & Wicker Inc. was responsible for civil engineering design and related permitting.
