Huffman Commons

Connelly and Wicker worked with STT Construction Group to provide Civil Engineering for Huffman Commons, a retail center in Jacksonville containing two buildings totaling 56,400 square feet on a 5.14 acre parcel. Two outparcels, each available for 2,700 square feet buildings were provided for with drainage, water and sewer. A driveway entrance/exit off Beach Boulevard was successfully permitted with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the parking lot design captured the maximum amount of spaces available. Work included drainage design involving an underground concrete vault system, potable water design with fire flow, and gravity wastewater design. This project required permitting with City of Jacksonville, FDOT, JEA, and St. Johns River Water Management District. Connelly & Wicker completed the design and permitting within the required four month time frame set forth by the client.
