Connelly & Wicker Inc. celebrates National GO SKATEBOARDING DAY with the Grand Opening of the Ed Austin Skate Park in Jacksonville, Florida. The skate park was a design build project led by OTAK Group, Inc. with the design team made up of TEAM PAIN, a nationally known skateboard design group, and Connelly & Wicker Inc. which completed the Engineering and Landscape Architecture for the project.

“The City of Jacksonville had an image of the best concrete skate park to be brought to this city. And our team delivered,” stated Allan Iosue, Vice President of Landscape Architecture at Connelly & Wicker Inc.

The 9,000 SF skate park, which is free to the public, is situated between existing trees and boasts some of the best designs for both urban and bowl skating. Present at the grand opening was Councilman Bill Bishop and past Mayor Ed Austin, who the regional park is named after.
